Hey guys. I'm Juliette and welcome to my blog! Woohoo, if you have reached this page it means a) you're lost on the internet and you're asking yourself who the heck is this freak?, b) you'd like to know more about France, exchange year, food, traveling... me, c) are we related? friends maybe?, d) none of the previous answers which can be either good or bad. Anyway, just to summarize the history of this page : I created this blog a long time ago to share my life as an exchange student in America. Now, I write when I feel like it, about whatever I feel like talking about. My life ain't really intresting but we all have our story and here is part of mine. (Also, sometimes I do write about smart stuff you might be intrested in). Check it out and forgive me whenever I sound foolish or when I make mistakes. This is all personal. Love, Juliette

rally farewell

Publié par Juliette Kerob

Today, for the first time I participated to a rally. It's a huge assembly, with all the students and there is a theme, today it was "the end of the year". So I had a special seat in the senior section with the other exchange student and our job was to walk from the door to our seat in the middle of the gym. I had to write a little speech about me and my experience and the thank you for everyone. It's a long story so I'm going to explain my day step by step.

Brianna and I had to come early to the gym, her because she is a senior and me because I'm an exchange student. The teacher in charge told us what do to : we had to wait until all the club were done on the walk and it was the turn of Omar from Yemen, then Sofie from Danemark and at the end... yes I was the last ME from France. I borrowed to Miss Eivens the french flag and I wore my new cute yellow dress. At 9:30, the gym was full of student and teacher. They called the first club : Spanich club, earth club, choir, dance, band.... and foreign exchange student! Yemen, Danemark and France. I had this huge french flag on my shoulder, covering all my back and people were yelling my name, I was red. I walked as fast as possible, I was so hot haha...and the worst thing was when she told the speech I wrote 2 days before. OMG!! I forgot to delete the sentence about Ian, "her boyfriend Ian Hoyt" AAAAAAH...so embarrassed XD me speech was so bad.

"My name is Juliette and I'm from France (cheese and snails haha I don't like it).I'm a junior and I'm 16 going on 17 soon.

My main goal this year was to learn english which I did pretty well. This year in Visalia was wonderful, I learnt a lot about the American culture, I met so many amazing people and I guess I have grown up in my mind. I have been involved in the French club and I played the clarinet in the band. Thank you Brianna Lim, my host-sister, thanks to you I'm in the band, one of the best part of my exchange. I had the opportunity to participate in all the events, concerts, marching band and football games. I had a lot of fun and I would like to thanks the band people escpecially Mr Ray and the seniors. I am so lucky to be here and to have the chance to met them (and also Ian Hoyt my boyfriend). I would like to thanks Miss Eivens, the french teacher, she had always been here for me and it helped a lot when I coundn't understand anything that people were saying! A special thank you to my family in France it is thanks to them I'm here and a huge thank you to my host family who took care of me and my funny french accent this whole year. Thanks Mount Whitney, I had a fantastic year!!!" (so she did it like it was me who was talking "her main goal this year...." )

After this, they gave some award to teachers and great students. They passed a video about this amazing year (Ian was everywhere haha he is so popular :p ) It was fun finally. I didn't have band and all the periods were short. Short day.

OUIiiiiiii I just got my yearbook!! "A Time To Remember" is the title of this wonderful book full of memory! I found myself 8 times :) I'm pretty proud haha jk. They messed up my name everywhere. now my name is "Juleiette"... on the page "A Wholes New Wold" yes... supposed to be new woRld. The only problem is : it is super heavy :( now I'm scared about the weight of my luggage. Maybe I can just take it with me in the plane.

During the whole day everyons was asking "what about your boyfriend?" "What are you guys gonna do?" "Are you gonna broke up?" I DON'T KNOW!! I love him so much. The only clear thing is a "long distance" relationship isn't really possible, not a relation like we share now. I love Ian so bad! and he do too. It's gonna be hard but we will make it and remember that it's not the end of our life, it's only the beginning for us. I can't wait to see the future and I'm ready to work hard to be a better person and to succed in my life!

I can't wait to go home and next summer to pick him up in the airport :)
