Hey guys. I'm Juliette and welcome to my blog! Woohoo, if you have reached this page it means a) you're lost on the internet and you're asking yourself who the heck is this freak?, b) you'd like to know more about France, exchange year, food, traveling... me, c) are we related? friends maybe?, d) none of the previous answers which can be either good or bad. Anyway, just to summarize the history of this page : I created this blog a long time ago to share my life as an exchange student in America. Now, I write when I feel like it, about whatever I feel like talking about. My life ain't really intresting but we all have our story and here is part of mine. (Also, sometimes I do write about smart stuff you might be intrested in). Check it out and forgive me whenever I sound foolish or when I make mistakes. This is all personal. Love, Juliette

International friends

Publié par Juliette K

Welcome, welcome everyone !

I am in a bright mood today :)

I wanted to write a little about the relationships I have made with international exchange students. Let's start with the one who lasted for more than a year : Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand and American. I met most of them in NYC when I couldn't say a word in english but I believe true relationships are forever and the language is not a barrier. We've been chatting ever since our exchange year, we struggled together and understand each other perfectly haha.

Monday, I sent 5 postcards across the world, one to each of them and one to the Lim. I was excited to write adresses to places I've never been to. I also started to send postcards to total stangers. We exchange our adresses through facebook via a group and it's pretty fun because you receive/send mail to foreign nation. The last one was to Lithuania !

I probably used more stamps than my whole family. My handwriting is everywhere, isn't amazing ?!

I call them friends because even if we met only once or not at all, I share more thoughts with them than most of the french people I hang out with (I don't mean the close ones). Don't worry, I'm very careful, I know that internet can be dangerous.

Monday, I also received a package from Taiwan !!! My friend there mailed me little gifts from his country. Pensils, keychains, note paper, t-shirt... I can't thank him enough.

I don't have the money to travel but this is my way to discover our wonderful planet without moving... for now at least.
