Hey guys. I'm Juliette and welcome to my blog! Woohoo, if you have reached this page it means a) you're lost on the internet and you're asking yourself who the heck is this freak?, b) you'd like to know more about France, exchange year, food, traveling... me, c) are we related? friends maybe?, d) none of the previous answers which can be either good or bad. Anyway, just to summarize the history of this page : I created this blog a long time ago to share my life as an exchange student in America. Now, I write when I feel like it, about whatever I feel like talking about. My life ain't really intresting but we all have our story and here is part of mine. (Also, sometimes I do write about smart stuff you might be intrested in). Check it out and forgive me whenever I sound foolish or when I make mistakes. This is all personal. Love, Juliette

Life is so expensive!

Publié par Juliette K

The more you grow up the more everything become connected to MONEY!

1) I've been saving money for the last 2 years to travel back to the States on a road trip in August 2017. I'm going to make a whole article about this topic when I'm done with high school. This is gonna be awesome !!! But, right now, I sould be worrying myself with the BAC (see my previous article).

2) My step-mom wants to give me her car because she has 2 cars. I'm so happy, I love driving! The problem is : a) I don't have the money for the insurrance, b) I barely have enough money for the gas (but I could probably manage something). My mom says it's a "poisoned gift" because, a car cost so much money on the long term and I think she is right. If anything happen I would not be able to pay.

3) The everyday costs : occasional food, entertainment, hanging out, gifts, birthdays...

I'm lucky enough to live with my parents and my mom pays for my clothes and sometimes my books! The thing is, I really want to have my own money, earn from my hard work because, I could use it the way I want and I would'nt have to bother my parents to fund me. It's a first step toward independence.

To pay for everything, I'm open to any opportunities to get a job (or jobS). I'm already going to work in germany in August but I won't get paid.

Tomorrow, I'll meet Annie from Texas. She came once in Paris. A friend of mine will take her and her mom in Disneyland. Unfortunatly, the weather is shitty : rains+storm+cold.
