Hey guys. I'm Juliette and welcome to my blog! Woohoo, if you have reached this page it means a) you're lost on the internet and you're asking yourself who the heck is this freak?, b) you'd like to know more about France, exchange year, food, traveling... me, c) are we related? friends maybe?, d) none of the previous answers which can be either good or bad. Anyway, just to summarize the history of this page : I created this blog a long time ago to share my life as an exchange student in America. Now, I write when I feel like it, about whatever I feel like talking about. My life ain't really intresting but we all have our story and here is part of mine. (Also, sometimes I do write about smart stuff you might be intrested in). Check it out and forgive me whenever I sound foolish or when I make mistakes. This is all personal. Love, Juliette

don't judge with your eyes

Don't judge with your eyes because they lie to you. It's just not enough to judge someone or something just be looking at it or even worst with rumors.

Here is a little story from today (it's actually funny), let's call it "the salmon story":

So, here I am, following the housekeeper of the fourth floor all day. She is my master and I am her student. We have a good day together and she teaches me what is her job about. At some point she mentions that she has to make interviews with the employees under her control. Well, lucky me I am going to assist her during an interview with a "equipier" (idk how it's called but his job is to help the chambermaid). So, X (I won't say his name) is a perfect employee with many qualities. He is from the Burkina Faso and I would say he is approximately 27 years old. During the interview, the housekeeper describe to him how he did this year and how they see him : positive, hard worker, listen to people, efficient and a little bit behind with communication between him and the other departement but nothing bad. Ok, so here is where I'm going... At the end, she asks him about his perspective for life, like would you like to be a fireman or an astonaut or maybe stay where you are ? He thought a little bit about the question and then he said "I want to raise salmon in Norway".

We were like, waaaat hahahahahaha I mean, it's such an amazing project but it was the last answer I could have imagine. Then, he told us about the study he would have to do and saving money. he had it all planned!

So, here I am again : do not judge with your first sight! It's probably not right ;)
